Crew Dragon got the Halloween memo 👻

The Crew Dragon spacecraft for NASA’s SpaceX #Crew3 mission is seen here at the hangar at NASAKennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A in Florida on Oct. 24, 2021. The capsule, named Endurance by the crew, arrived at the launch complex after making the short journey from its nearby processing facility at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. 

NASAAstronauts Commander Raja Chari (Astro_Raja), Pilot Tom Marshburn
(AstroMarshburn), and Mission Specialist Kayla Barron (Astro_Kayla) along with EuropeanSpaceAgency astronaut Matthias Maurer (ESAMatthiasMaurer) are targeted to launch to the International Space Station (ISS) on Wed., Nov. 3. Liftoff is scheduled for 1:10 a.m. EDT.

As commercial companies focus on providing human transportation services to and from low-Earth orbit, NASA is freed up to focus on building spacecraft and rockets for deep space missions. With the ability to purchase astronaut transportation from Boeing and SpaceX as a service on a fixed-price contract, NASA can use resources to put the first woman and the first person of color on the Moon as a part of our #Artemis missions in preparation for human missions to Mars.
