## Caption

This is a four-image NAVCAM mosaic of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko made of images taken in 2014 when the Rosetta spacecraft was 28.6 km from the comet. ESA's historic Rosetta mission concluded as planned on Sept. 30, 2016 with a controlled impact onto the comet it had been investigating for more than two years. The mission launched during 2004 and continued along on a 10-year journey. En route, it passed by two asteroids before entering deep-space hibernation mode in 2011. In 2014, it 'woke up' and prepared for arrival; its next mission was to deploy its Philae probe to the comet, the first time in history such an extraordinary feat was achieved.
