There's a reason there are stars on our flag... This aerial view shows workers, suspended on platforms from the top of the 525-foot-high Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Using rollers and brushes, they repainted the 209 feet by 110 feet flag to honor NASA's 40th anniversary in 1998. Each stripe is 9 feet wide and each star is 6 feet in diameter.
