This throwback shows the conclusion of a test firing on the A-1 Test Stand illuminating the night sky at the John C. Stennis Space Center (NASAStennis) in Hancock County, #Mississippi. The A-1 is one of three Test Stands at Stennis that were once used for testing Space Shuttle Main Engines (SSME's), that are used today test the RS-25 engines that will fire up the Space Launch System rocket.
