It's Orion's launch week!! Who's ready for a launch? Orion’s flight test is scheduled for 7:05 a.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 4. The spacecraft will launch atop a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta IV Heavy rocket from Space Launch Complex 37 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. During its two-orbit, 4.5-hour flight, Orion will venture 3,600 miles in altitude and travel nearly 60,000 miles before returning to Earth for a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean.

The L-3 Day forecast for the launch of NASA’s Orion Spacecraft atop a United Launch Alliance Delta IV Heavy rocket shows a 60 percent chance of favorable weather.
