hi🤍 sorry for going dark mode post race but I’ve been trying to figure out how to put this one into words. One of the things I have always promised myself is that I will always be raw and honest with my social media posts - in hopes that I don’t put off the “my journey is always smooth and perfect”  look to you all, but especially the young (and old) athletes who follow me.

Friday was hard. I went in feeling amazing, workouts have been great, I have been feeling / sleeping great, and I really thought it was going to be an amazing day, and it just wasn’t. I’m still not sure what happened, but I know that that race was in no way an indication of my fitness right now. I’ve had a couple days to process and am now back to training… I am absolutely reflecting, learning what to do better for next time, but ultimately putting it in the rear view mirror because we aren’t done yet. We have one more race (Regionals) in a couple weeks in Kentucky, & I can’t wait to get back out there in two weeks and show everyone who we really are.
