Also for those who don’t know I’m taking a gap semester this fall - which means I’m not in any classes and will not race this XC season! Yes, it’s hard for sure, but I thought about it for a few weeks and I really do think it’s the best thing for me right now. I am so so thankful for how supportive my coaches / team / fam have been throughout the whole process. Also, I am SO excited to be the loudest person cheering on my girls as they slay this XC season (whether that’s from the sideline or a laptop bc #rona)

As for what I’m doing with my time, I’m planning to major in computer science & economics & I have found / been accepted to join some amazing research teams here at Duke. I will be helping them look into increasing diversity & access to CS education, and can’t wait to share more as we start the project. Basically, I am using my time off to help them, dip my toe into the professional world, & build up mileage (YAY for no pain), so it’s not too bad of a deal🤠
