#throwbackthursday - working on off-balancing your opponent and immediately attacking the hips so you can get to his back.

Landing a suplex is not only a difficult technique, it can be dangerous as well. There are a number of things that can go wrong, therefore, it is a technique that must be drilled a lot before you try it in a live situation.

This is a great drill with a dummy that darrylch was putting me through last time I was in California.

We did about 30 reps that day: which is a lot considering it’s a full body movement and you’re lifting your opponents body over your head.

The dummy is a great alternative and a great way to get you started...but I do suggest getting a crash pad and using a drill partner...there is nothing more life-like than a real human body(duh, haha.)

I decided to add a little flare to it and see if I could land a backflip while holding the dummy...you know I had to try it.

Keep it simple and stay on task...but don’t be afraid to push your limits.
