Change | Drop | Curve | Riseball | Screwball | BD Curve

Location over EVERYTHING. Sometimes we as pitchers miss. It’s not ideal, but if we throw 100 pitches in a game, 95 of them should be going to the right spot. 
.
Hitting good spots allows for you to have greater success against top hitting… But it also allows for your catcher to have complete confidence / trust in you… As well as your defense… When your defense knows that you hit good location they’re able to move in different spots depending on the hitters tendencies. 
.
I threw anywhere from 65-69 MPH in college with a change I could throw at any count. I prided myself on being a pitcher that really focused location and was lucky to have some speed.

No one fears velocity these days… if you can’t spin it and change speeds it’s tough to be successful against the hitters lately.
