Zeal. This is a word our plnu_baseball team brings to life. They are passionate, energetic, & enthusiastic in their pursuit of the W's. But it's not just about victory for them. It's about the dedication to being better in all aspects of the game. It's the energy they bring to the dugout, to the mound, & to the plate. It's the fire in their bellies to push each other to new levels of success. And it's the fervor they bring to be men of character & strength who glorify the Lord. 

I don't know about the rest of you, but this season has felt like it's been lacking some zeal. We're burned out, stressed out, & freaked out. We're training hard, but for what purpose? With competition seasons postponed & uncertainty if they'll ever even happen, it's hard to keep the fire in our bellies #amiright? 

So how do we stay zealous? 

We do what plnu_baseball does...we practice zeal. Find opportunities to be better in the little things. Keep the pick-me-up chatter going in the dugout, the huddles, the sidelines. Be excited about the small victories. Bring energy to your people. "Do not lack diligence in zeal; be fervent in the Spirit; serve the Lord" {Romans 12:11}. And always remember that it's a great day to be a zeal lion.
