Spirit will take her last pre-game flight in Jordan-Hare Stadium today. The magnificent 25-year-old bald eagle is retiring after 18 years and 47 flights.  The average life-span of an eagle in captivity is 16 years. 

Yesterday, the Auburn University Board of Trustees passed a proclamation naming Spirit an honorary War Eagle.
