I wrote this quote about it: "As a twenty-one year old girl, I’m told that being forward isn’t attractive. I’m told that if I casually ask a guy out, I’m being aggressive or boy-crazy. But I’m sick of being told that I have to wait around to be “chosen.” Am I supposed to post a picture on instagram that he probably will never see? Include a cryptic message for him in the caption that he’ll probably never get? Doesn’t THAT seem way more aggressive and boy-crazy!? So, I decided to get over my fear of being seen as overbearing. Because being passive is somehow both boring and time-consuming. And because I’d rather be honest about what I want than disappointed because I never even tried. Writing this song and making this video are reminders to myself and any other womxn who need it that if we want to “make a move,” romantically or otherwise, we’re allowed." #makeamove #LivingRoom
