I've been teaching riding for a long time, teaching both kids and adults. My past experience teaching kids in a riding school left me somewhat hesitant. It seemed they weren’t always grasping the deeper understanding of horsemanship, seeing horses more as objects for entertainment rather than partners in a shared journey.

This made me lean more towards teaching adults, who tend to ask great questions.

Last week, everything changed. I had three kids who completely blew my mind. They were eager learners, asking insightful questions. What stood out the most was how they responded when I told them,

'Your horse needs a break, please don't rush it, just wait a moment.'
They were all so understanding and patient.

One of the kids even brought a borrowed horse to the clinic. The transformation from a horse she didn't know well to a riding partner by being clear consistent and confident.

Not only did the horse improve in manners, but she also worked on her own riding and communication skills.
The transformation was incredible.

The next student came for few lessons but ended up staying the whole week. They asked more questions than I had ever heard before. These kids are a true joy to teach and represent the next generation with fresh ideas.

It's not just about what the horse can do for us, but also what we can do for the horse.

Teaching these young riders has been an absolute delight, and I'm excited to see where their passion and curiosity take them in the equestrian world."
