What was expected has now become official.

The @indianafever selected Iowa's Caitlin Clark with the No. 1 overall pick in Monday's WNBA Draft.

Iowa women's basketball has now had players picked in back-to-back WNBA Drafts — with Monika Czinano going in the third round in 2023. The last time that happened was Megan Gustafson (2019) and Kathleen Doyle (2020).

But Monday was a landmark moment in Iowa's women's basketball history as @caitlinclark22 became the first player in program history to be selected with the No. 1 overall pick.
