🗣Tout le monde connait la légende, la vedette, John Bowman. Mais connaissez-vous bien son histoire? John et son frère jumeau sont nés à Brooklyn, puis ont grandi auprès de leur tante en Caroline du Nord. Il a 6 frères et sœurs et a vécu dans une maison avec 9 autres enfants. Il s’est donc rapidement habitué à devoir se battre pour obtenir ce qu’il voulait. Pour s’assurer que les deux frères jumeaux ne fassent pas trop de bêtises, l’oncle de John les a inscrits dans un gym de boxe, où ils ont pu apprendre à bien se battre. C’est peut-être pourquoi, encore aujourd’hui, John n’abandonne jamais. Notre joueur de ligne défensive n’a pas commencé à jouer au football avant la 10e année, quand il a déménagé en Caroline du Nord. Ce ne fut vraiment pas le coup de foudre, toutefois. John a détesté le sport et n’y est retourné que deux ans plus tard. Heureusement ! Sans cette 2e chance, John n’aurait jamais pu disputer une 14e saison extraordinaire à Montréal, la ville qui l’a chaleureusement adopté.

🗣Everyone knows the legend, the GOAT, John Bowman. But do you his story? He and his twin were born in Brooklyn and grew up with their aunt in North Carolina. John has 6 brothers and sisters and lived in a house with a total of 9 children. He pretty much had to fight for everything. To keep him and his twin off the streets, his uncle put them both in a boxing gym where they were able to finesse their fighting skills. It might explain why, to this day, he never gives up. John only started playing football in grade 10, after moving to NC. He hated it at first and didn’t go back until grade 12. And we are incredibly grateful that he did. Our defensive lineman just finished playing a tremendous 14th season in Montreal, where he is loved and appreciated beyond measure.
