We kick off our virtual lunch hour series this week on Calgary’s Chinatown and its unique culture.⁣
⁣
🎟: Free!⁣
📅: Wednesdays⁣
🕛: 11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.⁣
⁣
Each session will feature an identified big topic or an interesting aspect of Calgary Chinatown and its culture, like food, arts, youth, storytelling and more. We will leave lots of time to discuss, share ideas and stories.⁣
⁣
Meet!⁣
⁣
This is for anyone with an interest in Calgary Chinatown, and who wants to discuss the experiences, culture and opportunities of this unique community.⁣
⁣
Eat!⁣
⁣
We’ve partnered with the Chinatown BIA in support of local restaurants that are so important to the culture and experience of Chinatown. Order lunch takeout or delivery, eat together, and share updates on how your favourite places are doing during these difficult times.⁣
⁣
Active in supporting merchants during the COVID-19 pandemic and towards reopening safely, the BIA’s #ChinatownWelcomesYou campaign puts the spotlight on the resilient entrepreneurs in the community. Order from their list of excellent food options: www.visitcalgarychinatown.com/merchants-in-chinatown ⁣
