Bad news: Melting snow = potential storm drain backups⁣

Did you know there are more than 60 000 storm drains in Calgary that capture rain water and melting snow? ⁣
⁣
Citizens can ‘help send winter down the drain’ by keeping storm drains free and clear of ice, snow and debris. ⁣
⁣
If you cannot safely clear the storm drain or water has not drained off in more than 90 minutes, take a photo and upload it to the 311 App. ⁣

By uploading a photo of the storm drain our crews can quickly evaluate and respond. ⁣
