McTavish is a big power-forward with a good nose for the net. He goes to the net hard, and has a knack for finding scoring opportunities. He has some very good puck skills as well. The biggest knock on McTavish is his skating, and we see that as a legitimate concern at the NHL level. As skilled as he is with the puck on his stick, he is going to struggle to create separation on defenders.
