This quote from Ray Ferraro back in 2018 on Raymond is very telling: "If someone put the puck in a random fans pocket in the stands he would find it eventually." Obviously the skill is what you are drafting Raymond for, but he is such a dogged puck-pursuiter who is incredible at taking the puck from the opposition. Raymond is a terrific skater who is good in transition, finds open ice with dirty dangles, and is always putting pressure on the other team. He’s got a wicked wrister and a great one-timer as well. In the offensive zone Raymond has great patience and vision with the puck to go along with his filthy set of mitts and great shot. He’s incredibly quick and slippery when he’s 1v1 on a defender. The Swede is just so hard to contain. He is also a great puck-protector and pounces on any opportunity to attack. Raymond has such a spectacular toolkit that we had him as a legitimate first-overall pick contender last season.
