Julie Foudy played for Cal South with the Mission Viejo Soccerettes. She played at Mission Viejo HS where she was a two-time first-team All American and High School player of the year for three straight years. ⁠
Foudy attended Stanford University where she was honored as the Stanford Cardinal women’s soccer player of the year for three straight years, 1989 to 1991. ⁠
She is a 2009 National Soccer Hall of fame inductee, two-time Olympic gold medalist, and two-time FIFA Women's World Cup champion. ⁠
