#StoryTime Thanks to shopritestores, today we are gathering around the table to have a meal and do a little reminiscing. We’re in the midst of Women’s History month, and I would love to shine some light on a little history of our own. I believe that kushniralla, my mama deserves some shine. She was raised in the USSR and pretty much had an what we would call today a shiduh (in Hebrew or Yedish it means an arranged marriage). She had me and my brother and eventually got a divorce. My family was able to immigrate to the US when I was 10 year old, and my mom at the age of 30, being a single mom had to raise 2 kids, learn English and find a new career... all at the same time.. She’s now a grandma of 3 and a wife to my stepdad of 20 years. She was able to learn a whole new field, do an ok job raising me 😂 , a great job raising my brother, and build a home. Not to mention she’s still hot at 60 🤫 She is truly a wonderful woman. Who do you honor this month?
