Welcome to our starting lineup: Mr. Renato “Ren” Camacho, AAE, PE, PTOE who will be a speaker at Game Changers | Leadership and Peer Mentoring Initiative Summit & Combine May 18th, at Youngstown State University.
Renato “Ren” Camacho is the President and CEO of the Akron-Canton Airport (CAK). Ren’s core responsibilities include leading a 60-member team of airport employees, strategic planning, community engagement, andcapital improvement programs to ensure the Airport remains a vital asset that increases economic activity and pride to Northeast Ohio. He has over 30 years of progressive experience in the aviation and transportation engineering
sectors, specializing in program management, air service retention and expansion efforts, business development initiatives, job creation, and major infrastructure projects.
Ren received his master’s degree in Transportation Planning & Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has also received the designation of Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) from the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and is a licensed engineer in Ohio. Ren serves on multiple Akron-Canton area chambers, tourism bureaus, and executive leadership teams to further establish the importance of CAK for community businesses and stakeholders.
