## Caption

Fabian Coleman has committed to play football for LaGrange College here in Georgia. He was recruited as a linebacker/running back for the Panthers, who compete in the USA South Athletic Conference.

Coleman played three years of Varsity Football, serving as a Team Captain during his senior year. He was a member of the 2021 Region Championship team and received this year’s Raider Award for his efforts both inside and outside the classroom. He started playing football in middle school at Arlington Christian in Fairburn.

Coleman is also a two-year member of the Varsity Track & Field team, where he has represented Riverwood in discus, shot put, and the 100-meter dash.

Coleman is a member of the Black Student Union, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Society of High School Scholars, and Riverwood’s Magnet Program. He is a four-year honor roll student and received the Riverwood Academic Excellence in Scientific and Technical Innovation Award in 2022.

Not only did Coleman enjoy participating in Raider Football’s volunteer service projects, but he has also served on projects coordinated by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, including helping with food donation drives, food packing, and community park clean-ups.

Coleman said that after visiting LaGrange and touring the athletic facilities a few times, it felt more and more like home. He states, “The coaches welcomed me like I was already a part of the program, and that’s when I knew LaGrange was the right fit for me.”

He plans to major in pre-engineering and minor in business. He is looking forward to being part of a team that is on the rise while obtaining a four-year degree.
