And just like that, the sun goes down on what would have been our 53rd Opening Day in Salem, Virginia.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated #MiLBAtHomeOpener with us.

We may be distanced for now but we are truly never apart. And it’s days like today that we are reminded how a simple love for a game has the power to provide hope for our communities just as baseball has done time and time again throughout our country’s history.

We will get through this friends for we know that baseball is waiting for us right on the other side.
