Pro wrestling legend “Rowdy” Roddy Piper passed away on this date in 2015. A Canadian of Scottish heritage, he learned to play the bagpipes in his youth and was billed as coming from Glasgow. Known for his incredible wit and signature kilt, Piper is considered one of the greatest 'heels' (villains) in wrestling history.
