The Return

It’s been a long road to recovery for this pair. Both Evan and Ryan have spent the better part of the last year rehabbing foot injuries that kept them away from training and racing. Ryan hasn’t raced since indoors last year and for Evan it’s been even longer: the fall of 2018. For two athletes who’d grown accustomed to making teams and racing deep into the European summer, it was a painful and trying time. But each of them dedicated themselves to the painstaking and frustrating process of rehab- strengthening movement patterns long taken for granted. Their patience and perseverance get a just reward this evening with a return to racing at the University of Washington. Evan is in the mile at 7:05pm ET. Ryan is in the 3k at 7:50.
