Ever since she joined the club, Marielle has shown up each day with a quiet resolve, a firm determination, and an unshakable work ethic that stands out even among the elite of the elite. When an athlete commits fully to their craft, you hope that it will manifest itself in the results immediately and permanently. But fitness works in mysterious ways and in its own time. At the end of a long season with some very solid performances and a couple disappointments, Marielle came through in a huge way in Doha. She recorded her first top 10 at a World Championship and smashed her personal best. Shalane is now the only #BowermanBabe to have run faster! Success is never guaranteed in this sport, no matter how much you put into it. Going all-in is a leap of faith and there are few things sweeter than faith rewarded.
