𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, another Bluff City native, is graduating in a couple weeks with a degree in public relations. Since transferring to the UofM, he immersed himself in campus life. Gaither is involved in sga_uofm, the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature, memphisprssa and Weeks of Welcome.

“My UofM experience has been different compared to others on campus as I transferred to the UofM in the fall of 2022 after earning my associate degree from JSCC. However, I am truly grateful to be forever blue and gray as the memories and friendships have made my college experience remarkable. From serving in executive positions in different areas on campus to being named a finalist for Mr. UofM, I have met incredible people with different backgrounds and perspectives which have shaped me into the leader I am proud to say I am today. I may not know what is next for me, but I know I will walk the stage reminiscing on all the opportunities, the good and the bad, the University of Memphis has been gracious to bless me with.”

Following graduation, Gaither looks to pursue a PR career in the entertainment industry.
