This is something Asian American athletes all over the country have to face. Rarely is it accepted for athletes to open up about the racial obstacles they face. During our all-star camp, we had a panel where our coaches got to speak to college-bound Asian American athletes about taboo topics like this with the intention to show that they aren’t alone — that there’s people who have walked in there shoes before who can relate to their journey.
