We've been working with this patient since discharge from hospital after a Total Knee Replacement (TKR) and he was absolutely delighted to get onto the bike this week which is week five post-op.

He's a very fit and healthy '60 something' and has been making great progress each week. From a very apprehensive two-crutch gait on week two, he's moved through a one-crutch gait to unaided walking very quickly.

He's gained full extension in the knee as quickly as possible and once his scar had closed nicely he has been working on quads function, and working gradually into flexion and decreasing a stubborn effusion.

He continues to be very compliant around his daily rehab programme and is regaining confidence by increasing his number of steps each day - we're all hoping he'll be back to his active lifestyle very quickly.
