Today is a day of utter determination, inspiration, sweat and - yes - a lot of pain for 45,000 runners who are all taking part in the 2020 londonmarathon.⁠

It is the 40th year of the greatest mass participation running event in the world, and like many events, hugely affected due to the covid-19 pandemic.⁠

Everyone here thelewinclinic wants to wish runners completing it virtually today the very best of luck, in particular patients of ours James and Lauren Elkin - what a year to be running your first marathon Lauren!⁠

We're sure there will be pockets of supporters out and about wherever you are which could just make it feel that bit special.⁠

You're all doing an incredible thing, try and enjoy each mile - failing that, know it gets you one step closer to a medal!⁠
