Do you remember our patient with the grade 3 and 4 shin stress fractures, having built up his running significantly during lockdown?⁠

13 weeks since we shared his scan - with permission - we are pleased to say he's symptom free. ⁠
⁠
His calf capacity was symmetrical and reasonable, and he can hop repeatedly without pain.⁠
⁠
We are now working on a calf strengthening programme and a walk/run strategy as he builds himself back up to longer weekly mileage.⁠
⁠
This will all be done under close monitoring and with careful progressions alongside bulletproofing his calves. ⁠
