The 2001 exhibition Rosemarie Trockel: Metamorphoses and Mutations, explored the work of German artist Rosemarie Trockel, who is known for an eclectic art practice that interweaves drawing, video, painting, sculpture, and installation.  The gaze that the artist turns on society and documents in drawings is at times cruel, often subversive, and somewhat caustic. Trockel brings to life a universe of forms in idealistic relation, and drawing becomes a transforming force, a kind of fantastic alchemy, changing the world in curious and unexpected meetings.
