Last night our new program series "Bellwethers: The Culture of Controversy" launched with "Manifesto" (speakers: Chiara Bottici, Sam McKinniss, Adrian Matejka, and Audrey Wollen). For Bellwethers we are convening a prominent group of writers, cultural critics, and artists to respond to a cultural “bellwether” and take it in their own interpretative direction. The series is curated by  Alison Gingeras in collaboration with Affidavit's Kaitlin Phillips and Hunter Braithwaite.

Bellwethers continues next Tuesday, May 28 with "Panic" (speakers: Andrea Long Chu and Jamieson Webster). And the final program is on Tuesday, June 4 with "Cancellation" (speakers: Anna Khachiyan and Natasha Stagg). For more details and tickets, go to the link in our bio ⬆️
