Excerpt: "Af Klint began to exhibit in the 1980s, but the Guggenheim’s "Paintings for the Future" centralizes the artist and her serious devotion to spiritualist art for the first time, and in ways that male artists have been many times over. Her visionary compositions, hung ceremoniously in the spiral halls and alter-like enclaves of the Guggenheim, a major international institution, are finally presented in their appropriate setting, and to a wider audience than ever before.
