“I don’t have any plans to become a professional artist before I came to USA. However, I always got highest grades in my country painting and calligraphy class during my childhood, it gives me with confidences and freedom which achieves my personal value. I don’t want to tell a boring story which I was influenced by my family and Chinese traditional cultures. I only know I can’t leave arts with my life.” - Kunlin He

Kunlin He lives and works in San Francisco. His work has been shown at the MASS MoCA, North Adam; Seattle Art Fair, Seattle; Chinese Culture Center, San Francisco.

Open Sessions is a two-year program which provides opportunities for selected artists to contextualize work and ideas through exhibitions, public programs, and critical dialogue, organized by Rosario Güiraldes and Lisa Sigal, Open Sessions Curators.
