“A palm tree inclined in the right side of the painting was reflected in a calm night sea. But what I mostly remember was the sparkling reflections of the moon on the water. They were almost moving. I was around 6 and everybody around was so proud and kept saying: “Look, she is an artist”. I didn’t totally comprehend what that meant. I'm still figuring that out.” - Carolina Fusilier

Carolina Fusilier lives and works in New York. Her work has been shown a the Sculpture Center, New York; Natalia Hug Gallery, Mexico City; and The Banff Center, Canada.

Open Sessions is a two-year program which provides opportunities for selected artists to contextualize work and ideas through exhibitions, public programs, and critical dialogue, organized by Rosario Güiraldes and Lisa Sigal, Open Sessions Curators.
