HT: “In some ways for me, the making of work is always a kind of rehearsal for lived experience. Working in photography, video, and sound, there is constantly this kind of mimetic thing that happens.”

AK: “The connection between my work and the body is something that I have been exploring. The objects I make will navigate our increasingly mechanistic existences in order to find the poetry of garbage, pesticides, and biological pollution that make up our world.”

Hong-An Truong lives and works in New York and North Carolina. Her work has been shown at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; Whitechapel Gallery, London; and the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin.

Arnold Kemp lives and works in Chicago. His work has been shown at PDX Contemporary, Portland; Chisenhale Gallery, London; and the Hallie Ford Museum of Art, Salem.
