Open Sessions Conversations: Regina Agu & Sreshta Rit Premnath .

RA: “In thinking about potential in relation to drawing, drawing's generative aspects are also brought to mind - I am thinking of drawing in the future, and drawing multiplefutures.” .

RP: “I’ve been thinking a lot about the idea of abstraction and the way that it is embodied and marked by politics for many of us. There is no “empty” space, because it is difficult for us to extricate any gesture from its historical and political contexts.” .

Regina Agu lives and works in Houston. Her work has been shown at the New Museum, New York; Katzen Arts Center, DC; and Darke Gallery, Houston. .

Sreshta Rit Premnath lives and works in Brooklyn. His work has been shown at Ace Gallery, Los Angeles; the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; and the Galerie Nordenhake, Berlin. .
