EG: “All methodologies for drawing in the future are legitimate: c&c machines, laser cutters, VR pens to draw in 3d space, text, moving image, performance, pencil, pen, brush, etc. My first gesture in the studio is vital and I try to sustain that energy through whatever tools are available. My drawing’s past and present are tied to my process." .

JR: “My paintings have been influenced in both form and content by the works of the Marquis de Sade. For instance, the intense visual worlds with convents, palaces and secret hallways where voyeurs look through brothel walls. This secret-but-revealing architecture is the structure of my large-scale work.” .

Eric Ramos Guerrero lives and works in New York. His work has been shown at Lloyd Dobler Gallery, Chicago; Lufthansa Studios, Boston; and the Inside-Out Museum, Beijing. .
Jennifer May Reiland lives and works in New York. Her work has been shown at Romeo Gallery, New York; the Fondation des États-Unis, Paris; and Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac Pantin, Pantin. .
Open Sessions is a two year artist program of interdisciplinary events and exhibitions focused on drawing, organized by Rosario Güiraldes and Lisa Sigal .
