Open Sessions Conversations: Sreshta Rit Premnath & Regina Agu 〰
SRP: “It is not so much that I am looking for a figure of universality but rather I’m pointing towards an absence that lurks beneath the regimes of value that structure our use and perception of space.” 〰
RA: “I’m interested in openness, and I think my projects continue to orient toward the poetic, conceptually and materially, because it aligns with the potentiality and futurity of drawing in ways that are meaningful to my work.” 〰
Sreshta Rit Premnath lives and works in Brooklyn. His work has been shown at Ace Gallery, Los Angeles; the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; and the Galerie Nordenhake, Berlin. 〰
Regina Agu lives and works in Houston. Her work has been shown at The New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York; Katzen Arts Center, DC; and Darke Gallery, Houston. 〰
