Danielle Dean is a Nigerian-British-American artist who lives and works in New York. Her work draws from this multi-national background in her interdisciplinary practice. In "She," Dean utilizes the female body to create an intriguing experience with the viewer. Using both commercial and non-commercial imagery, Dean displays the emotional labor of a woman constantly interacting with an economy of images around her to indicate the ever accelerated consumption-driven life under digital capitalism. 〰
