Olalekan Jeyifous is a Nigerian-American visual artist based in New York. Jeyifous’s “Parabola” and “Imago Vi” extend his series of hand-cut, black-and-white collages. These images, which draw upon the design trope of the architectural folly to achieve an objectivist and surrealist aesthetic, are a meditation on imperialist architecture, urban ephemera, and the mundane.
