## Caption

After two intense, all day workshops by Race Forward during our year-long Racial Equity in the Arts Lab, we have immense respect for the work of the instructors and for their grace and clarity in talking about race. We want to give a special shout out to Race Forward's Nayantara Sen who conceived this lab and is leading the conversation with Race Forward's stellar colleagues. 
One of our takeaways is to slow down and sit with this work acknowledging its depth and the time it takes to organically incorporate new ways of thinking and talking about race. We understand that arts administrators must be explicit about racism and implicit bias and the harm they create. Moving forward with our cohort of other NYC arts organizations, we will look deeply at our work with staff, artists, and communities through the lens of racial equality.
