This photograph shows scientists working on Nonsuch Island, and is from the excellent exhibition 'Exploratory Works: Drawings from the Department of Tropical Research Field Expeditions' at the Drawing Center in New York City. The exhibition shows a number of images created by the DTR under the leadership of William Beebe, including many from the oceanographic workshops that took place around Nonsuch Island (in Bermuda) and the Galápagos Islands.
