Making a Mark, Reflections on 40 Years of The Drawing Center

In honor of The Drawing Center’s 40th Anniversary in 2017 we are reaching out to artists, curators, and colleagues to ask “What does The Drawing Center mean to you?” Here is artist Deb Sokolow's response. Her work was in our 2014 exhibition “Drawing Time, Reading Time”, a group exhibition that explored the relationship between drawing and writing as distinct yet interrelated gestures.
