COMING SOON: “Olga Chernysheva: Vague Accents” will be on view October 7 at The Drawing Center. The exhibit will comprise of a series of drawings the Moscow-based artist made during a month-long visit to New York in November 2015.

In May 2016, as part of the Women at Work exhibition at Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art in Germany, Chernysheva showed drawings and photographs of different women in Russia, from street sellers to museum guards. “(They) capture with immense empathy the precarious nature of being human, and further investigate the survival strategies of citizens in a post-socialist society in the face of living situations that vary from exposure to neglect.” #OlgaChernysheva #comingsoon #EdithRussHaus
