In the animated works of Venezuelan artist Magdalena Fernández, squares, lines, and planes vibrate and tense as they reimagine the geometric abstraction of modernism through digital means. Videos by Fernández, who was included in The Drawing Center’s 2006 exhibition “Analog Animations: Selections”, are currently on view in The Drawing Center’s web gallery on the homepage of drawingcenter.org
