Today, Executive Director of The Drawing Center and curator Brett Littman and Raphael Rubinstein, a New York-based poet, art critic and essayist for Barlett’s recent painting exhibition entitled Hospital at Locks Gallery in Philadelphia, gave a walkthrough of Jennifer Bartlett: Hospital. The works are based on a series of photographs that Bartlett took during an extended stay at Greenberg Pavilion at New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, and which she later cropped and edited in her studio.
