Our current exhibitions are closing soon! Richard Pousette-Dart, Rashid Johnson, and Open Sessions 6 are on view through this Sunday. "A diverse array of Pousette-Dart's drawings from the 1930s explore the human figure engaged in action, exemplifying Gaudier's [Henri Gaudier-Brzeska] investigations into the idea of rhythm as well as what Jennifer Powell describes as "rapid shift between observed expressive realism and a vital abstraction of the body".-from the exhibition catalog essay by Charles H.
